What We Do

Worship

Throughout the year, as we gather on Sundays, we remember the Christian story of salvation.  We celebrate the birth of Jesus (Christmas), his teachings and actions, his passion, death and resurrection (Easter), and the founding of the Church through his giving of the Holy Spirit (Pentecost).  Our worship is full of symbols of God-with-us: music, silence, Bible readings, and prayer for the world.  We gather, young and old, around the altar in communion with God and with each other, before we are sent out to show God's love in the world.
During the week we pray together, meet to socialize and visit the housebound and the sick.

Activities

The Social Commitee organises events for all in the local community throughout the year.  Events include Quiz Nights, Coach Trips, walks, beetle drives and Lent lunches.  The Summer and Christmas Fairs in the church building are very busy events, well supported by the local community.  The very popular "Cake Sunday" happens on the first sunday of every month after the 10.30 am Eucharist, and always has a variety of delicious home-baked goodies.

 Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals

Many people in the local community love to use the church for celebration of a family event such as Wedding, Baptism, Renewal of Wedding Vows or Thanksgiving for the gift of a child.  Preparation and guidance is always given so that the event reflects a family's character and needs.

Sadly, families also need to use the church to remember the death of a loved one, so Memorial Services and Funerals take place here.  The same preparation and guidance is offered to bereaved families, to help them plan a fitting tribute.  Ashes can be Interred in the Garden of Remembrance by request.
